I would vote for the clown nose version for symmetry reasons and put it on a swing mount so you can open the top of the tongue box like a normal human something like this

 if they're just for practice and you want to cool them to handle them and look at the weld meh. careful you don't spash boiling water on yourself. And probably don't put it so close, welding is electricity  don't do that for welds that you want to actually work though, you make it extra brittle and prone to breakage
