 Cool! When I was a kid I went through all of Joe Dever's Lone Wolf books, which were kind of a similar thing where you had a pnp style inventory and combat system on top of the CYOA format. Sounds like Fabled Lands is a little more sandboxy though.

Some nerds went and made online versions of the Lone Wolf books too, good if you're the sort of person who always forgets what page you were on
