Always hated exploring a new place only to find an entrance to the Underworld, for which the actual book doesn't exist.

Wait, I missed this earlier - really?! Interesting... hopefully they eventually flesh out any remaining loose ends, seeing as the kickstarter for their last book was successful.

What's been keeping me from the series is they wanted to make 12 "main line" books but have only gotten up to #7

Yeah, Into the Underworld was supposed to be book 12 but considering the book released five years ago was was only the seventh it probably won't be out for a long time.

So we worship Patrick Nagel now? Better go to the church and admire the aesthetics.

We should help but we should probably finish our personal quest and get some better equipment before stepping across the border.

Picked up the video game. It's an ok adaptation and the new combat system is neat. Troubadour's mirror image skill really makes things easier since you can sit back and snipe most enemies with crossbows. Managed to get the rank 10 ironman achievement doing that.

Yeah, you slowly learn abilities as you rank up but you can also just buy them from shops if you're willing to spend a lot of shards. The other classes' abilities can be trained that way but you can only have four active at one time. You can swap them in your skillbook whenever you're not in combat.
