I completely forgot about this - I met Conan in Tokyo randomly in 2019. I remember walking down the street and there's a TV camera there and suddenly I see Jordan Schlansky just standing there.  I did a double take and out comes Conan from a van wearing this insane poo poo:   I followed him down the main Harajuku drag, which is supposedly famous for its crazy fashion. Conan was extremely tall and looked very out of place. My wife had no clue who he was and I told her to go and talk to him. A big crowd was following him at this point and I think word had spread he was someone famous. She talked him and he was like "I thought everybody dressed like this here, no? Don't I look good?"  I then asked one of the producers "Hey man, level with me here - is Jordan Schlansky really like that, or is it just a character" and he was like "Uh, yeah, he's really like that". Finally I walked up to Conan and asked for a photo. As we were taking the picture I whipped out some of my old Conan knowledge to impress him and asked him "Hey, are you going to meet Toshi, Joel's favorite Asian Male Boy Toy while you're here in Japan?" but I think Conan had no idea what I was talking about and just kept on looking ahead and smiling and said "Heh heh, yeah, love that guy" as if he had no clue what I was saying and just wanted to get away from me and keep filming the segment.  I also got a picture with Jordan Schlansky and he was extremely awkward, almost like he didn't ever have people take photos with him and didn't think he was famous. He could get really serious when need be and I love that he left this segment to his assistant Sona to reflect on her heritage and family roots. I have such fond memories of Harrison Ford as a guest. I remember once he walked on stage, sat in the chair, and simply stared angrily at Conan who just roasted him mercilessly about something, I can't remember what. Crowd's laughing, Conan's laughing, finally Ford says "Good night" and gets up to walk out. Of course Conan convinces him to stay. Another time, maybe even the same episode, he and Conan both did a "duuh duuh" with flailing hands, bugged out eyes, etc. and it got used in a commercial for Late Night. I stopped watching nightly talk shows in general after Conan's last Tonight show, and now that Conan's got his XM channel they play clips from his TV shows, wish I hadn't missed this when it aired but I'm glad it's preserved on YouTube.
