The Mecha Butler in that Jaden Smith anime had a pilot. It was a plot point. He never knew there was a pilot, he just thought he had a robot servant. But then the pilot explained that of course there was. It's a mecha butler. That's what the word means. So, OP, Jaden Smith beat you to this observation and even made it a joke. How does that feel?

The coolest thing in Battletech are the AgroMechs. The Netflix animation anthology Love, Death and Robots had an episode about some farmers defending their farms from aliens with AgroMech ripoffs and there needs to be more mech content like that

No one has said this yet but it’s very important. Mecha and Mechs are different. Mechs are better, like a big block V8 sedan with a hard whiskey drinking driver where your inferior mecha has a pilot that writes crappy open mic night poetry that drives around in a 1990s civic with the muffler taken off so it sounds tough. loving mechs don’t have wings.
