I'm assuming it looks small to people the size of Alas, poor China, relegated to miniboss status. She was a stage 3 boss back in the day. And ok it's not that high but it's still boss status. It must be the Yokai equivalent to Christmas right now for Aya, she's getting the juicy scoops without actually making poo poo up for once. Not that Marisa isn't already infamous but still.

I think the mist is reducing her resistance so the usual parasol wouldn't help. Or she's feeling lazy this week. Probably laziness. note: in EoSD Remilia started the scarlet mist incident to cover the sun so she could go outside. As Cyflan mentioned, a parasol would have been sufficient.
