I'd argue they had the players for a good secondary as well but Gannon was a terrible DC and the defense only improved last season because of Howie, Gannon had less than nothing to do with it. if anything he held them back

I think you gotta have two good seasons in a row before you can be ranked above someone who's proven a high level of consistency since they were drafted

I don't understand. if there's "growing support" for bringing the team back why would the mayor have to work around the city council, who are necessarily more representative of (and beholden to) their constituents than the mayor why doesn't the new ownership group simply buy the site themselves? raising capital clearly isn't an issue for them

please let the record show that despite owning a Wentz jersey (purchased when he was a rookie) I never crowned his rear end and was the only Eagles fan arguing that he sucked from mid-2018 through his trade I think Hurts needs to replicate his performance from last year at about an 85-90% before I will formally motion for crown consideration. he needs to show that he can continue to make progress on his areas of weakness (esp working the middle of the field, he has AJ Brown and Goedert this should be a gimmie) but more importantly that he isn't going to revert to his poor habits from 2021. the thing that tipped me off about Wentz is that in 2018 he fell back to all the problems we saw him having as a rookie and never fixed any of them, 2017 was fully a mirage that said, I hope they go 2-15 this season (Giants) because they give up 33.5 points per game
