I think a good honey hot is the best wing sauce. or maybe they call it hot honey some places. basically honey garlic mixed with hot sauce i guess. maple chipotle might be good but i dont think it'd be the same. wings!

hello and welcome LonesomeCrowdedWest im glad you have found my wing thread i agree a sweet and heat is very nice, unfortunately my brain is broke and will only accept maximum heat i want my wings to be as hot as possible and its funny seeing the various reactions when you ask for super spicy as a white person

When I worked in dive bar kitchens we used to get mostly all of the same wing flavours from like SYSCO or GFS or whatever. Most places do a 'sweet heat' which is half hot sauce half honey garlic. I occasionally enjoyed making a different version of sweet heat that was half Caribbean jerk, half plum sauce. It was OK. That Caribbean jerk sauce on its own was the poo poo, I could do shots of the stuff. The dry rub powder is arguably better, but you needed loads of it and it always tasted way too salty. I can't wait until this diet and exercise routine I'm going hard with gets me back to a satisfying physique (I've not weighed myself but in under a month I've gone from size 40 jeans and XL shirts being snug to size 34 and M being loose). I'm gonna reward myself with like four pounds of wings.
