We're all totally fine saying to a baby "Sorry you're not allowed to vote (even though you have just as much of a stake in this as the rest of us) because you're too dumb and have no idea what any of this even means" but god forbid we extend that to people over 18 that are too dumb and have no idea what any of this even means. "Oh no you can't do that, that's not democratic" they'll say, while denying the rights and humanity of innocent little babies.
