They don't need to rebuild as they have prime aged stars at all key positions, but they'd benefit from dumping some aging vets and going youth movement. Honestly, Dallas consistently perform. They have always tried to make the playoffs, even in the years they were bankrupt. They have never sold at a trade deadline. The highest they've ever finished in the draft order (pre lottery results) is 8th. They do this because the ownership (correctly) believes that nobody would come watch the team if they were actively tanking. It's not an option, even if the idea of rebuilding a 108 point team wasn't completely insane.
