What up former prison goon. Glad to have you here and hope that you stay clean etc.. As you've seen, most goons are pretty decent folk and don't mind helping someone out, others are well....... Anyway, I have some questions for you: Whats some prison lingo that you learned in there? Like there must have been names for various contraband etc.... Were there special names for porn mags, weed, bootleg liquor etc? What about various uhhhh "acts"? If one guy was planning on beating up another guy, or like non-consensually sodomizing another dude was there a code word for that poo poo? How many attempts at escapes were there? Any really creative ones? Any really dumb ones? Like did any prisoners try to hide out in the laundry baskets or garbage cans? If you want to talk about it, whats the most hosed up thing you saw in there? The funniest? How many people did you see get released and then come back later on another rap? I think you mentioned something about movie nights, was there one particular movie that was super popular? Like when whoever asked what movie you guys wanted to watch, did everyone always scream out SCARFACE!!! Or GOODFELLAS!! or something like that? Hey OP, thanks for talking about the prison lingo, especially the one about the "suitcase". It worked really good with the goatman above in my quoted post. I'll bet he could mule a Buick in his "suitcase". Anywho, I don't know how extensively you've explored the forums, but you have to keep in mind that goons can be very snobby about poo poo. For example, I am currently enjoying a milkshake from Dairy Queen. DAIRY QUEEN! And I'm ENJOYING THIS THING! Now I haven't even posted this post yet, but already there is some goon who is getting themselves in to a rage about someone enjoying some mass produced nationally available product like a milkshake from a large chain. To many goons, such a thing is blasphemous. Any time now there will be some smug rear end goon showing up to tell me how, by drinking a Dairy Queen milkshake, I am literally drinking liquid poo poo mixed with PISS and GARBAGE. Because that is what Dairy Queen is and you can't even think about enjoying a milkshake from anywhere but the most boutique of ice cream places thats only open for like 3 weeks every two months and gets their ice cream and other ingredients from a Swiss ice cream place in the alps located in some town that English speakers aren't physically able to pronounce properly. Anything less than that and you are ingesting GARBAGE. Same thing with just about any other product you can imagine. Like a particular type of mass market beer? Any cheap domestic piss will do the trick, but some goon will tell you that you are LITERALLY DRINKING PISS if you drink any kind of beer but (obscure brand from some unknown microbrewery somewhere that doesn't even sell said beer outside of a Same thing with Swords, goons love studying the art of the blade, but if you don't have Hanzo steel, or take your lessons from (whoever the gently caress) then obviously you like wasting time as you can truly never know the blade?

OP, real talk here again. In order to help you better integrate in to the SA community, here is a thread that you might want to check out. Its 62 pages of posts, so maybe something that you should look at when you're bored and have a bunch of time, but it was a pretty big deal at the time for a large swath of the forums. OP, on the subject of SA specific things, there is one goon (me) who probably made the greatest achievement on SA history.
