In "Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" you can pretend to be a Gollum by equipping a mask. Link hunches-down and everything. It's a pale imitation compared to the original, though. You can't even emote!

Were all wrong, I just txt'ed the band Helmet and they told me that yeah what it is, is they can't strangle Gollum if he is listing to the band Helmet play. So seems bands just like aren't meant to strangle their audience of something, regulations or whatnot. Apparently like this whole thing was one big game of telephone mix up!

Hey there fellow Gollum Gamers, it's you're friendly neighborhood Stunt-Puffin back with another livestream! Today we're finally taking a look at the unreleased follow-up to the beloved N64 racer, Beetle Adventure Racing! As the story goes, Gollum: Beetle Adventure Racing 2 was in development as a GameCube exclusive but had to be canceled at the last minute when Paradigm Entertainment discovered they'd been scammed. Unfortunately for them they had secured the rights to the LotR IP from a con artist who then fled back to Nigeria. When they finally approached Christopher Tolkien he took one look at the game and replied, "What the gently caress is this beetle poo poo?" As you all know, the original N64 game was a racer featuring the Beetles that Volkswagen revamped in the late 90's. The sequel however traded out those iconic cars for LotR characters riding on go-kart sized insects. Tolkien was adamant that this was a work of mental illness, not art. The game was shelved and largely forgotten until 2018. That's when an anonymous leaker uploaded a mostly finished build to RomHaven. Everyone assumed it was only a matter of time until someone compiled into a working ROM, but work on the project soon stalled out and it was forgotten as well. Until today! Today is the day it finally happened! The game has been compiled and is finally ready to play, so hit that like and subscribe and I'll load it up in Dolphin for our first look! GAMER GOLLUM LORE: Did you know that Gollum chasing the beetle during the opening of Lord of the Rings: Gollum (2023) was intended as an homage to the unreleased Gollum: Beetle Adventure Racing 2? Gollum being unable to catch the beetle was intended to symbolize how gamers unfortunately never got that Gollum beetle racing game. Ironically, it was the strong reviews for LotR: Gollum that reinvigorated interest in the Gollum: Beetle Adventure Racing 2 restoration project and led to it finally being compiled. Has anyone actually finished the game yet? Do you win by killing Frodo, taking the ring and using it to rule over Middle Earth? Cos if so they should make that the cannon ending to LOTR's being the better ending and all.
