The Star Trek mod for Stellaris was really cool, but the mechanics weren't quite Trek-y enough, so if this can follow through, it'll be my perfect "lost six hours somehow" game

Their marketing is really leaning into selling this as a Paradox strategy game, but it's not really. It's being published by Paradox, but the dev team are the ones behind the underwhelming Masters of Orion reboot.
