Macguire will probably be fine for a side down the table that plays a low block or anything that isn’t what he’s being asked to do now. Which will make the whole thing funnier imho.

why would a presumed top club go for one of those red bull lads who hate having the ball and just want to run around a bit.

Adams loves having the ball, just for a little bit when he inevitably takes it off the other team

He’s by far the best American player, he’s just not flashy like Poolisic. It’s actually annoying Chelsea are signing him.

Four year contract for a 30 year old lol

Kane has been playing for Spurs and England his entire career - he doesn’t have the wear and tear associated with a typical 30 year old going deep into tournaments and cups every year. He’s more like a 27 year old, right at his peak. Good business.

The man has more runner up medals than the vast majority of players, League, League Cups, Champion's League, Euros. Adding second in the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal finalist to that and there's few in Europe who could dream of that amount of silverware medals.

Yes yes, spurs (and England) randomly gets somewhat good but not great every 6-8 years. That’s not consistent mileage like at a “real” club.

I think the fact that Ten Hag is willing to bring on England Captain Harry Maguire in a competitive game is some indication of how he rates Bailly

This is the guy who regularly plays Anthony and does not play Sancho so who the heck knows

Sancho hasn’t been a World beater but from the very limited and disjointed time Ive seen him get, he seems fine and has some production.

Also Sancho was great for a very top team, it’s absolutely United and Ten *aag that have hosed him up

Crazy how Manchester United always ends up buying players who turn to poo poo or fall in with a bad crowd or commit violence against women, or hell, in Antony’s case, all of those things

Anyone claiming that Sancho has been better than Antony on the right side of the pitch has not watched either player play for Man Utd.

Looking at some Advanced Stats (expected goals actually scored and expected assists actually made vs expected games played that were actually played) it looks like Antony is really bad. If you go a bit deeper into the hidden stats like cards received, it’s even worse.

To me it seems like X Haag convinced the club to spend £80M on his boy when the club already had a £70M guy there who’d probably have come good with some TLC and regular playing time

But that was not the question. Sancho does not and has not provide more than Antony.

Looks like he has, in fact, provided more goals and more assists.

Antony is also not some Jack Grealish type that provides a ton of shuttling and security and consistency if he’s not accumulating counting stats. He’s a dime a dozen winger that likes to run around a bit. I bet United wishes his name was Al-Tony so they could sell him to the Saudis for half of what they paid and call it

Imho Pulisic is actually a really good player he just has the annoying American hype and made the grave mistake of signing for Chelsea

These Dortmund guys need to stop signing for the legacy top PL clubs, just ban the practice

• Fitness issues have plagued Chelsea since last season when, according to a study by Howden’s European Football Injury Index, the Blues suffered 97 injuries — 16 more than any other side across Europe’s top five leagues.
• Club doctor Paco Biosca and head physio Thierry Laurent left the club as part of a cull by the new Boehly-Clearlake ownership. They believed City, Liverpool and even clubs such as Brighton had more progressive medical departments. The issue has not yet been resolved.
• A private physiotherapy firm used by celebrities including Dave Grohl, Morrissey and Katie Price has stepped up in place of the long-serving staff. Even still, they have overseen some injuries that some believe avoidable. James Ralph, James’s personal physio, hinted at anger towards the reintroduction of his client to playing after he returned from injury after the World Cup.
• It is understood that players are concerned with the situation after seeing Kante’s career ravaged by a series of niggling injuries
