He stayed in the Swedish junior league all year so as not to lose his amateur status because he's committed to Boston University next year. He rose from being a second round selection to 11th overall almost entirely on the strength of a good medal round in the u18 worlds which uh is never a good way to draft. Don't draft a guy because he had a good three game stretch. Oh well.

Tell me why Ryan Leonard is a good pick. The draft experts like the pick a lot but I’m reading way too much about how his compete level is his defining characteristic and that makes me a little nervous.

Really doubt the dirty dangles translate with NHL-level d-men, but being good at speed on the rush, having a good shot and willing to get into dirty areas and hit people seems Oshie-esque.
