Yeah, I was thinking it was the invading army because of all the clues everywhere pointing at all the locals inconclusively, but with this new characterization of Ivo it might have just been a bid for the throne.

Or both. "If... if he helps..." does not lead to me thinking he'll be planning on doing anything but watch the kingdom fall.

Normally I don't make aesthetic criticisms in other peoples' homes, but that rug looks like a beaver exploded. If meat is murder, then that rug is at least a severe beating.
This is a combination of what happens at the trial if you don't make the effort to get expert advice on the evidence, if you sentence no one and if you keep quiet after Ivo comes to take Lorsulia away again.

Yes, Your Grace - The Royal Tribulation

Let's proceed to the gathered evidence. An animal tooth. An item so rare, only one known person could have returned from such an encounter alive!

Noaksey the Dragonslayer, please step forward!

The animal tooth was found in the Wine Cellar; this is where Noaksey could have poured poison in our wine! He wanted to help Talys' wife, Paloma but the King shamed him instead. Noaksey couldn't bear the feeling of rejection, and so he planned to murder King Talys!

Lies! I am truly a man of honor and I would never do such a thing! King Talys made a fool of me that day, that is true, but I left his castle as ordered. In no way does this prove I killed King Talys, only that I have been to the wine cellar, which I'm not denying.

And why would you be sneaking around Grevno Castle?

I was just looking for a quiet place... Ehm... To talk... To Lady Lonna, Sir Friderick's widow... Well, when we talked... She must have pulled it off my neck... It was a very fascinating conversation!

So you admit this item belongs to you?

No! Well... it could be mine? I don't know, I have a lot of these things around my neck! But I swear I didn't do anything to the wine.

That's enough! Back to the King.

An instructional letter! The scribe includes instructions detailing the usage of poison and a map of our castle. It has a very specific decorated pattern, which matches only one Lord who attended the wedding!

Lady Lena, please step forward!

There is no question as to who wrote this letter. Lady Lena also seems to have a very good motive for wanting to kill Talys. She threatened to kill him if the wedding took place, and it did...

I would never do such a thing, Your Grace. I might have had cold feelings towards King Talys... But there's a big difference between not liking someone, and killing him at his son's wedding! Besides, if I wanted my son to marry Lorsulia, would it not have been better to kill Ivo? Killing his father would make no difference either way!

Do you admit that this parchment came from your kingdom?

No! We don't decorate our letters with Rowan trees, but Roses!

That's enough! Back to the King.

The poison phial! With the very substance still inside, we are certain that this belonged to the person who poisoned King Talys!

Lord Etton, please step forward!

It is common knowledge amongst the royal heads, that you have access to all sorts of poisonous substances. Talys was against the dust trade, and as we have found out from Lord Lurs, you two were not on the best terms. With Talys' death, weaker borders with Atana might make it easier for you to distribute the dust beyond Davern. By poisoning King Talys you planned to expand your business, isn't that the truth? Based on Hermar's testimony, even your own residents know you're up to no good!

Nonsense! I may be running a little side business, but this product can now be found literally anywhere! Even markets in Davern are full of distributors. The phial does not prove that I was the one who poisoned Talys. This could have been anyone!

Enough! Ekhm... There's no clear answer here, Your Grace... We have to sentence someone, anyone, or else Ivo will put all the blame on you. We did the best we could. It's just politics at this stage. You might want to consider the benefits you gain from each lord, if any. If we sentence someone without a lot of evidence against them though, then our people will sense that it was just a royal whim.

I can handle this, Audry. Based on the evidence, or lack thereof... I see no relation between the gathered evidence and the suspect brought here today-

Your Grace, you HAVE TO point someone out. It doesn't matter whether you think they've done it or not. Otherwise, Ivo will hold you responsible and will sentence you to die! There's no other option.

As I was saying... Tonight's evidence did not bring conclusive-

I did this!

This is interesting...

Audry, what are you-

I am responsible for King Talys' death! I wrote the letter... I bought oracle dust in our own streets. And I scattered Lord Noaksey's teeth around to take you all off the path. I admit it. I poisoned King Talys! Your Grace, it's your part now.

...

Cedani, Asalia! Leave, now.

No!

Audry, traitor of the crown. You have offended your King and tried to put the blame on me. Audry, advisor of Davern. I sentence you to die.

Eryk, King of Davern. You have found the one responsible for my father's death! The outcome of this trial is satisfactory for me, and as such, Atana's forces will aid you in your struggle against Radovia. Three thousand men will be ready to strike when you blow the horn, signalling my men to ambush the enemy! Such is my will.

Do you think Audry really did this?

No, of course not. He was just... Covering your father's stupid arse... I let this happen. This is on me.

There you are. Pack up your things, we're going!

Father... Thank you...

Let's go. We need to make preparations for the battle.

Let's Play: Yes, Your Grace - (58) The Battle Of Grey Mountain Pass

It appears that we're late. Radovia has already managed to build up some defence. We will need to push them back and create a choke point at the foothills.

The sky is looking clear.

That's good. At least something works in our favor. Here. Come with me, Your Grace.

We gathered everyone we could. We will make an advance on your mark.

How is it looking?

We shouldn't wait much longer. Once we start, there's no way back. We have to defeat the enemy before our army is entirely depleted. I suggest we make a reserve army.

A reserve army?

We would get a small chunk of our main force and set it aside. A reserve can be used to exploit Radovia's sudden mistakes. Or act upon nasty surprises they throw our way. Should we create a reserve?

Very well.

I've seen the archers are getting ready?

Once the battle has started, the archers will be ready for your command.

What about the horn?

We can use it to sound for Atana. I suggest we use it only if necessary, to create an element of surprise.

At your service, Your Grace!

Potions... Magic... Whatever you need, Your Grace.

My Mind's sharp. Weapons ready.

Our pikes can stop any charging enemy, Your Grace!

Awaiting order, Your Grace!

It is time.

Do not fear, my brothers. Today is NOT the day we fall. For we have made strong allies. And in our time of doubt we need to remember... That we are not here alone! But we won't need them today! For this is Davern! And we stand our ground!

Ay!

For Davern!

Let's show them!

We'll surprise them...

Our archers should take a good chunk of their forces. Everything is under control.

One word and we'll charge with full strength, Your Grace.

I can't fight, but I can still help.

My unit can help! I've trained them myself!

Our pikes are sharp and ready!

We're here if you need us, Your Grace!

Ready for orders!

Archers!

Getting into position!

Your Grace!

You know what to do!

Getting ready!

We're ready, Your Grace!

Show them what we've got!

I'll let the rest know!

What's this?!

Your Grace! Magic! The fog is obstructing our view!

We have no idea what is happening down there and we need to send support immediately!

Say the word and we'll charge in there with our spears, Your Grace!

And how do you plan to see who to attack? The fog is so thick it fills in my lungs.

Not to mention what it must be like down there.

One shouldn't rely on vision, but perhaps other senses could help?

Unless there was a way to fight magic WITH magic... Whatever we do, it's your choice, Your Grace. You must choose a unit to send out. Or let me know if we should wait this one out.

There's not a whole lot I can do about that fog, Your Grace. Sometimes it might be better to wait things out.

I can try and organise our army underneath that fog. That's always an option, Your Grace.

Finding our enemy in this thick fog might be a problem, Your Grace. We can always just blindly poke at them...

The fog is thick. We will go in blind, but hopefully we can support our brothers!

I have never seen such magic, Your Grace. I can try clearing it out, but it may take a while.

Do your magic, Alena!

I'll do my best, Your Grace.

How is this possible?! We're outnumbered!

We need to wait for Ivo to arrive! They should be here any second now!

The situation doesn't look good. But at least now we can see and act upon it.

I think I can finally catch a breath!

We couldn't do much against, the fog, but we can still help!

At least the fog is no more!

Blow the horn, you fools! Do I have to do everything myself?!

ARCHERRRS!

Awaiting orders, Your Grace!

Archers!

Getting into position!

Your Grace!

You know what to do!

Getting ready!

The fog is gone - we thought we could get an edge but... But they brought monsters! They ride armoured bisons!

Foul beasts are ravaging our army. We need to keep it together!

More men on the battlefield could help swarm the enemy, Your Grace.

It could also mean more men can die. Hefty bodies and sharp, long horns. The hooves that can crush a man's skull! Not all units are equipped to deal with enemy cavalry.

Perhaps, we could use a beast hunter professional to hunt them down?

Who should we send out, Your Grace?

The beasts are huge, Your Grace! There's not much we can do, but we won't give up!

We can stop these beasts, Your Grace!

These beasts are wild... I can perhaps help our men form a better position though.

I've never seen such beasts, Your Grace. I think there's a way to stop them, though!

Go Velek, do your best!

Nothing less, Your Grace!

By the gods! Where's Atana? Are they deaf? Blow the horn again!

Maybe they can't hear us?!

Even from this far, the beasts looked huge!

We should have gone to stop these beasts! Not to worry, we can still be of use!

The beasts are gone! We can do this!

ARCHERRRS!

Awaiting orders, Your Grace!

Archers!

Getting into position!

Your Grace!

You know what to do!

Getting ready!

A letter, Your Grace!

This must be a falsehood! We had a deal!

Your Grace! That's not all!

These are not fire arrows. It's Magic. Creatures made of flames!

Magical fog, monsters and now more magic!?

Focusing on DEFENSE should be most important at this stage, Your Grace.

Good organisation on the battlefield could also be the key to this situation.

Perhaps a witch could try a spell, nay?

Who should we send out, then?

The fire is everywhere! We can aid our brothers though!

Our spears won't help us deal with fire. But we will do our best, if there's no other option!

Our men won't be able to handle fire well, Your Grace. But I will lead them!

You know what to do General.

Yes, Your Grace!

The fire is gone! We can see clearly!

Despite the situation, the gods are on our side! I can feel it!

Our army is depleting fast. I... I don't think Ivo will come...

Darn it! Despite what the letter says... We need to try the horn again... Here we go...

Nothing...

I sense something bad is coming...

Rain! Ha ha! ARCHERRRS!

We're the last squad, Your Grace!

Awaiting orders, Your Grace!

Archers!

Getting into position!

We can't last much longer, Your Grace. And there's no sign of Atana. The letter was right. What else is there?

They just keep on coming...

It's been an honor, Your Grace.

We're far from finished! Let's give them all-

This does not look good!

Some kind of monstrous device?!

We have no other choice... We have to send everyone in! Gather round!

They've shown us the unfamiliar! We've seen beasts! Magic! But they haven't seen what WE have in store! SHOW THEM WHAT DAVERN IS MADE OF! GIVE THEM HELL!!! On my order!

Show them your spears!

Show them all you've got!!!

This is it, Your Grace. We gave them all we've got.

We can't take any more.

The gods have saved us all!

Unbelievable... We have... Survived!

I was expecting this update to be big but this was much more brobdingnagian than I thought it was going to be. I'm writing this after completing the update but before posting it as I want it to be a companion post and I take forever writing these kind of things. I'm going to go into more detail of the mechanics of the battle.

The battle doesn't start until you've ordered all of the archers to fire and the next segment of the battle won't start until you've recalled the archers and ordered them to fire again. It probably goes without saying that the battle progressing along with the story and there's no surprises with each playthrough. If you make a mistake you can just reload the day and try again. Well, that is if you brought enough resources to turn the tide of the battle.

It's entirely possible to lose the battle. You can see that there are different problems to tackle in each section of the battle and the amount of people you lose depends on the people you send to deal with it. You saw in the LP that I used the most efficient people available at the time to take on each task to minimise losses. If you send in the wrong people to take on a task not suited to them you can expect heavier losses.

You also have the choice of not sending anyone in at all to deal with a new danger and just see how the event plays out. If you haven't recruited enough specialised units or prepared your agents then this is what you might end up doing any way as there will be no one available to tackle the problem. You'll see the losses mounting up quickly if this happens.

We managed to recruit all of the specialised units apart from the Shielded Knights and the dogs. The Knights would only become available to us if we had allied with Lena and they would have been more useful in taking on the fiery monsters. The General and his squad were the next best option so it really didn't matter to much in the end. The dogs would become available to us if we had allied with Etton.

The Reserves are entirely optional and were only useful if you were lacking in agents or other specialised units.

It doesn't matter how many soldiers you start with, the battle always ends in the same way and leaves you with the same amount of people every time.

Let's Play: Yes, Your Grace - (59) Dancing In The Sky

Has he lost his mind? Evil tricks? The collapsing mountains were nothing but sheer luck at a dreadful time.

Your Grace, Ivo promised us three thousand men. We won't last long if he comes to our gates with an army this large. We must call the Kings' Summit. Other Kings won't want to help us, but we must try. I will make the necessary arrangements, Your Grace.

This is hardly an end, Your Grace. If we're under siege, we better stock up on supplies. We should aim for at least five large crates of supplies. The weekly summary will have all the necessary information. It will be best to set aside whatever we can at the end of each week. We were extremely lucky to win that battle. We have lost our men. If not for that avalanche we would have certainly been defeated.

I know, we must really be in the gods' favor. We need to focus on strengthening our army. I don't know if I'd ever forgive myself if this castle was destroyed.

What are we going to do about Ivo, Your Grace?

I don't know yet...

Your Grace, I have found an old wagon blocking the road. It looked abandoned. I gathered the men and we moved it out of the way. Turned out the wagon was full of 7 gold and 7 supplies.

Your Grace, Torlando made me bring a stuffed monster head to his house. I'm not sure what he was writing about, but he seemed very eager.

Your Grace, it seems Babushka has given up for now. The villages have been cleared and the strange writing and chicken legs are gone too. Her crows are still dancing in the sky, though. She's still out there somewhere, but she can't do much without her men. Thank you very much for your help, Your Grace. I don't know what we would do without you.

You are welcome. I'm happy to hear our villages are safe again. This was a difficult time for all of us.

Your Grace, I went outside to get some carrots from the pantry,I get back and... All my pots, pans, jugs, cutlery and mugs are smashed! I can't even leave the kitchen for one second! This is doing of some imp, oh, I'm sure! I tried to lure him out with some onions, but he's a clever little fella. The worst part - it hasn't happened just once! Every time I go out, I come back to a devastated kitchen. That imp needs to be dealt with straightaway!

I would send our Hunter to draw him out but he is away on another around. I will speak to my advisor to see if there is some other way that we can help you. Please wait in the lobby and I will call you back in shortly.

Your Grace! I went to milk a cow this morning. To my surprise our Ditty - the finest, healthiest cow in the village - was not giving anything! Some say that her days are nearing to an end... I say we have a Muddy prowling around! He crawls out in the night and milks the cow until he's full. Bloated, he rolls to wherever he's come from! The youngsters are waiting for the milk, but I have nothing for them. How can we live like this?

Mischevious creatures seem to be everywhere today! I will talk with my advisor to see what can be done about this one! Wait in the lobby until I call you.

Darling?

We barely won that battle! To be honest, I have no idea what happened. We were losing. All I saw were fewer and fewer of our soldiers on the battlefield. I thought it was all coming to an end. I called for Ivo's army, but no one showed up. He wanted us to be unprepared - he hoped we would be defeated.

We gave him our daughter, why would he do this?

He knows we have no rightful heir...

He's just a young king... He doesn't know what he's doing.

He sent a letter, it arrived this morning. He said he hoped we would be defeated.... And that he's going to have to finish us off himself. He announced a war. We would have won against Radovia, but I'm not sure we can defeat him... We have lost most of our men.

Eryk... What are we going to do? He has Lorsulia... I don't understand why he would do this...

We'll work something out, sweetheart. You shouldn't worry, you're pregnant. We must avoid any complications with the pregnancy, my darling.

But how can I not worry? Ugh... Fine, I'll try not to think about this. But you have to promise me you will find a solution!

Honey... I'm sorry about everything.

What are you talking about? We won, didn't we? I know Ivo didn't help, but I thought everything was fine?

It isn't. We've made a big mistake... I spoke to Lorsulia before the battle. Her neck was covered in bruises... She begged me not to say anything to him about it. I'm going to kill that wandought!

BRUISES?! What?! This cannot be true... Was it Ivo? I have just spoken to her... But in the letters... She seemed so happy in Atana... We can't let anything happen to her, Eryk.

We have to get her out of there as soon as possible.

Who knows what this scum will do to her.

I need some time to come up with a plan. Stay strong, honey. We will solve this.

I really hope we do... I would never forgive myself otherwise.

Yes, Father?

I know recent events have been difficult on you girls.

Do you mean the battle?

Yes, and with Lulie gone... I know you miss her too.

I do, but it's fine Father... We're going to be alright. I knew you could defeat the Radovians... It wasn't the easiest on Maya. She knew some of the people.

We almost lost, we had no choice. You know that, right?

Yes, I know that, Father. I'm just glad it's all over.

Me too.

Council Meeting

Welcome back, everyone! I'm happy to see all of your faces again. You all must have read the reports of the battle and know of the events that unfolded. We lost a lot of good people that day and we should find a way to honour them one day. But we cannot at this time as I bring even more bad news.

King Ivo has declared war on us! He deceived us into executing an innocent man, he broke his word with supporting us on the battlefield and I've just had word that he has been abusing Princess Lorsulia! The little... potentate... has three thousand troops and is threatening to destroy us. We cannot count on our allies as their troops perished on the battlefield. I have taken the liberty of sending a pigeon to King Varid to see what support we can muster from him and the other kingdoms.

There isn't much more that we can do until we have more news so let us deal with more trivial matters. King Ivo isn't the only little gremlin who is bothering our people. A villager is having some trouble with a naughty imp who keeps destroying her kitchen and needs help to banish it from her house. We can send Alena to help or we can tell the peasant that she can deal with the problem herself.

Alena could be of use elsewhere though. A Muddy is bothering one of the nearby farms, more specifically, the Muddy is bothering one of her cows. We all know that a Muddy sdoesn't hang around for long but if it bothers an animal for too long then it is never the same afterwards. We can send Alena to sort out the Muddy or we can leave the Muddy be even if it means the farmer loses income. We could compensate the farmer with 16 gold to replace the cow.

Map

Velek is still away at the moment and Alena could potentially be busy this week. Stan is definitely free and is available to scout another village. Alena too if you decide that she is better suited elsewhere.

Woman beating? Always knew that Ivo's line was full of jumped up PEASANTS. They aren't meant to be lords like the fine people in this chamber!

Speaking of PEASANTS, we must send Alena to deal with the Imp. If our servants don't have kitchens, they can't cook for us, now can they?

But the cow? Sod off and slaughter the thing for beef and sell it to fund a new one.

We need every scrap of goodwill we can get at this point, I feel.

Send Alena to deal with the imp.

Pay for a new cow.

Send Stan to the closest place he hasn't been yet.

Send Alena to deal with the imp.

Compensate the farmer for the cow.

Send Stan to the closest unexplored place.

People are idiots, Leslie.
Well, now that we have no standing army, at least we shall have plenty of supplies to sock away for the siege! :unsmith:

Ah yes, I also have two mischievous devils that harass my kitchens. I call them my children. At any rate, send Alena to see what all the fuss is about with the imp.

And as Alena will be occupied, pay the poor woman for her misfortune. We need every single one of our citizens to band together if we are to survive King Ivo's assault.

Send General Stan to Milina, it's right on the road west of here and should be an easy trip for a man of his experience.

Cheating at a raffle? I sentence you to 1 year in jail! No! Two years! Three! Four! Five years! Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah!
Somebody call for an ant?

Hmmm... an imp you say? I don't suppose we have a gentleman clad in green armor, do we? I hear those are excellent at clearing out imps. Well, perhaps we should send Alena imp hunting then.

And that does mean she isn't around to help our poor friend and their darling cow. I suppose we should tell them, "don't have a cow, man." Or rather do have a cow with this gold to buy you another one.

Send Stan to Plocko. We have some quiet time without any immediate pressing dangers we can do something about. Best to explore the further areas while we don't have to juggle the impending war alongside the needs of the people.

Hail to you, King Eryk.

I apologise for intruding into this council, but I was guided here by your agents. Forgive me for this insolence.

I have been kept in touch with the latest details of what has happened in Tavern, to the level of standard commonfolk in your kingdom.

As for who I am... Well, I think that I'll save that for later.

But I will simply say this. I came from Atana, however, I did not come here to speak for 'King' Ivo.

No, I speak in favour of King Talys.

As for what my suggestions are...

Send Alena to deal with the imp.

Pay for a new cow.

Send Stan to the closest place he hasn't been yet.

OOC: Just so you're aware, there will be no spoilers from my posts. The Atana origin thing is meant for flavor, and will only pertain to knowledge known up to this point.

Also, welcome to the council. I'll close the voting tomorrow. The next update will most likely be Monday at the earliest as it is my next day off from work.

I'm going to work on the next update now. These are the results from the last update:

Imp
Send Alena - 8

Cow
Give Money - 7
No Help - 1

Stan
Closest Village - 5
Milina - 1
Plocko - 1

I had to get the measuring tape out for the closest village and Wola is the closest village to Grevno at 7cm away. Hektary and Milina are both 8cm away.

Ahoy! I see that we have a new face amongst us.

Ah, nevermind then. Welcome to the council, you are amongst friends here. Have we come to a decision about this kitchenware hating fiend?

Slaan: Woman beating? Always knew that Ivo's line was full of jumped up PEASANTS. They aren't meant to be lords like the fine people in this chamber!

Very good! I was going to recommend that Stan be sent so he could stamp on the little devil but I'm afraid that would cause even more damage to the property. We also need to sort out this other troublesome creature. Should we help the farmer or not?

RedDawn: Pay for a new cow.

FoolyCharged: I suppose we should tell them, "don't have a cow, man." Or rather do have a cow with this gold to buy you another one.

Slaan: But the cow? Sod off and slaughter the thing for beef and sell it to fund a new one.

Perhaps you could buy it and treat us to a nice barbeque next week, Slaan! Our treasury is the fullest that it has been so we can spare some gold. We will need help from the local farmers with another war on the horizon. We only have one more decision to make and that is deciding where to send Stan.

Black Robe: Send Stan to the closest place he hasn't been yet.

jkq: Send Stan to the closest unexplored place.

Bregor: Send General Stan to Milina, it's right on the road west of here and should be an easy trip for a man of his experience.

Wola is the closest place to Grevno so I will send a message to Stan to leave at his earliest convenience. That will be all for now. Thank you for your time, we shall meet again next week and we should all bring something for Slaan's barbecue.

I'll help you with your problem imp, I'll send the Witch with you. I think a magic spell will deal with that imp easily. The witch will know how to chase it away.

Thank you, Your Grace. I suppose magic will do a better job than my onions...

Muddies are practically untraceable. This gold will get you a new cow. Or at least you can buy some milk on the market.

Thank you, Your Grace. I knew you would have the remedy to our problem. Poor Ditty will be replaced...

Welcome, and thank you for arriving upon my request. I have asked you all here to seek your guidance, help even. Davern is in danger. As you may know, we just won a battle against Radovia, but a new enemy has arisen. Ivo, King Talys' son, is threatening my people. Even worse, he has my daughter. I fear for her.

I suppose you're asking us for soldiers. What would we be up against, do you know?-

Prior to the battle with Radovia, Talys offered me three thousand men. We expect that this is the army Ivo will bring against us.

Bloody hell. I've heard of bigger armies, to be sure, but I'm not in position myself to match that. Supposing Coaril aids Daven, you'd still be two thousand men short!

Same with us. Praciss, while prosperous as always, has only ever had a small army at hand. A thousand men is the best we could do.

You're forgetting that you won't have to take the battle into an open field. Defending the castle with half as many men as the attacker will surely suffice.

Davern can count on all of your help, then??

Not so fast. For starters... Ivo was most likely preparing for this since his father's death. We don't have nearly as much time to prepare, get ready and march this far.

True. Even if we get right to it, it's not easy to move a thousand men. If we buck right up, we... Might get to Grevno just on time.

Timing isn't the best, yet, but even if we assume it will work out, it's not that simple. You see... With all these Radovians I've had quite a challenge in the recent weeks myself. Well, you're the man reason they're even here, wouldn't you agree, Eryk? After your recent battle, numerous surviving Radovians have scattered throughout our lands. If you help me get rid of the leftovers, then I will give you my army. I want them all gone.

Oh, but why not help the poor folks? Is killing them the only option?

Not killing per se, just don't help them in any way. Eventually they'll have to move elsewhere. Or... they'll just die from starvation.

Slaughter them all, would be my advice. Who knows what they brought with them. Barbaric vermin can carry diseases, not to mention the monsters Eryk has already had the pleasure of meeting. Trying to starve them will only make them more desperate, so they'll be more likely to be aggressive.

I suppose he's not wrong. I'm not a fan of killing, but if I had to choose between my people starving and them, I would choose them!

What is wrong with all of you! We should help them, they're people like anybody else. I like you, Eryk, so here's my counter offer. Help any Radovians that you come across, and you will have my army.

Radovians this, Radovians that... I'm tired of this talk. I have no business with them. Yeles is far too distant for them to travel to and I have nothing to gain from this conversation. I will take my leave.

Aghhh, let him go, the old fool. If the Radovians were able to march through the mountains there isn't much stopping them marching to Yeles, in my opinion, but what do I know... Look, Eryk... I reckon it will take Atana around 19 weeks before they manage to march an army to Davern. Why don't we meet then and I will see what I can do for you. Let's say... If I don't have any problems with the Radovians, then I will lend you my men.

Oh! Is that how it is? Are you going to let people starve, Eryk? Word gets around. If I hear that you are refusing to help the people of Radovia, then you can count me out. How can I support somebody that's indifferent to people's suffering? After all, didn't Ivo already call you a monster? Don't prove him right, Eryk.

Do what you must. I will see you in 19 weeks.

I will come around as well. We can go over everything once again.

That could have gone better...

Varid, I thought you'd left?

I was on my way and then.... I ran into one of your daughters, seems quite mature for her age. You see...

A marriage for an army?

And I took you for a fool. I can see that I was wrong. What do you say, then?

I need t time to gather my thoughts about this.

Atana is probably already marching in. They could get here sooner than you think. I could use the company of someone more... energetic. The offer stands. If you change your mind, let me know.

We can now start to save supplies in increments of 10. Each sack costs 30 supplies, and we need to create a minimum of 5 sacks which is going to cost us 150 supplies. We can create up to 10 sacks and the more that we create the better off we will be. I'll add something in the next council meeting about the supplies as well as asking how many to save with each passing week.
