Given reddit's situation and recent discussions of enshittification, especially with LLM nuking search results, I thought it'd be neat to have a curated directory of more indie websites, interesting little hobby places, timewasters, or even your own personal sites. I'll update the OP with stuff people post.

Blockbench is a little low poly 3D model maker that you can use right on the browser if you want. It lets you pixel texture the mesh as well, it's cute

apparently they're migrating the site to one hosted on a solar panel server, which seems kickass. I've added both URLs

Cold on a Cob posted:

does frinkiac.com count as "indie"? i use it a lot. if you aren't aware, it lets you search simpsons episode scripts and find images from the episodes, make gifs, etc

http://michaelyingling.com/random/calvin_and_hobbes/ is a similar thing for calvin & hobbes but just for helping you find specific comics. it requires exact phrasing so you're better off going with fewer words eg "tyrannosaurs" instead of "tyrannosaurs f-14". Also weirdly some of the scripts do not match the comics correctly but the descriptions seem to be correct so scan the descriptions when you're trying to find a specific comic in the results.

astronaut - astronaut shows you random youtube videos with zero (or nearly zero) views

Cold on a Cob posted:

Scan of the Month - wonderfully presented ct scans of various things from many angles with descriptions about what you're seeing
