I got a bag of salted roasted peanuts in the shell an an event with an ex and she told me how some people don't bother shelling them, they just cronch into them shell and all. Turns out the shells are salty and kind of satisfying but definitely fibrous and more of a chew. I kind of love it though, the peanuts with thin shells are the best.The internet says you shouldn't eat the shells for a variety of reasons but I don't know, how bad could a bunch of peanut shells be? What say you, GBS, do you eat the peanut shells?

i used to sometimes suck the shell for that sweet sweet salt but never ate them. i dont think people really do that.

i've eaten peanuts in the shell when they're roasted and salted, it's actually pretty tasty and has never caused any digestive issues i don't normally do it, mostly it's just to assert dominance at a five guys or a bar/steakhouse that gives 'em out i tried it with raw peanuts once and they're tougher and more bitter, i don't recommend it, go with roasted instead if you want to try it

now that i think about it, i probably haven't eaten peanuts in the shell since i became a vegetarian almost a decade ago, because the only places i did it were beef slinging establishments what's the connection between beef slingers and complimentary nuts anyway?

The only place, other than 5 Guys and Tigers games, that I have seen in-shell peanuts being served was a dive bar near my parents and everyone just threw the shells on the ground so there was a constant layer of gross peanut shells and spilled bud light on the floor, it was disgusting.

I eat kiwis with the skin, and have been inconsiderate enough to eat peanuts like the above pictured in the office, but eating the shells (though tempting in its efficiency and cleanliness) is just a jump too daring for my rear to attempt
