I can't imagine many cooler ways for someone to spend ten days

Also useful for when injuries pile up and they need someone to step in briefly off the bench but they anticipate getting guys back and so they don't want to sign someone for the remainder of the season. A couple years ago the Wolves had a shitload of injuries and then they had a couple more guys out on extremely short notice so they were forced to sign a guy to a 10 day contract simply because he was able to make it to the arena on like three hours notice, otherwise they would have had to forfeit because they didn't have a full team.
