yeah, the smart move would be to artificially depress his PP time like they have, then sign him + Kakko to like Kotkaniemi deals, then give them more time as the rest of the top guys age out. but they'll instead bridge em and make em produce right at the time they need bigger contracts with fewer RFA years. they're stupid for letting that happen, not stupid for keeping em IMO

Yeah 800 is great for Wheeler. He's still good PP and can be fine 3rd line. Also I have it on decent authority that it was O'Reilly's brother who was driving when they ran into the Tim Hortons. Ryan took the rap because they knew it would be a career ender for the less talented brother
