Other than Nunez and Lawler, who has had a successful final fight? Is there a top 5 retirement fights? In my mind I can only think of the people who retired after losing so it seems like a mostly sad event.

I forgot about GSP and Nate Diaz. Ok then my top 5 retirements so far: 1. Robbie Lawler 2. Nate Diaz 3. Amanda Nunez 4. GSP 5. [vacant] Top 5 worst retirements (these should all be Chuck Liddell): 1. Chuck Liddell 2. Mark Hunt 3. Donald Cerrone 4. Joanna Jedrzejczyk 5. Rory MacDonald Bonus: Luke Skyler Rockhold

rjmccall posted:Khabib, surely poo poo, all of time has been compressed since COVID. You're right, Khabib has to be close to #1, but recency bias + love for Robbie Lawler is going to keep him at #1. Revised: 1. Robbie Lawler 2. Khabib 3. Nate Diaz 4. Amanda Nunez 5. GSP

This card must be what it feels like to be walking in a desert for days and finally coming across an oasis

Volk would have to put on a Silva vs Maia-tier lovely fight for this card to not be one of the best of the last few years. Even then, I dunno, this has been incredible.
