In 1988 or so I got into a legit argument with my Dad about the song Helter Skelter. My position was the Motley Crue cover was clearly superior. He maintained that the Beatle's original was better,

I still think the Crue version is better.

I got in the same argument about Life of Brian, and The Passion of the Cross with my dad

The Beatles are the perfect encapsulation of popular music, as they emerged at the beginning of pop music, then guided it through its complexity.

I wanna hold your hand to Helter Skelter.

You might say the beatles are the epitome of pop culture.
At least internationally

Mr. Smile Face Hat posted:

The word "underrated" has been used with so many different meanings in this thread and elsewhere that its' now officially meaningless.

People use it to mean "does not get mentioned every 3 seconds all day every day" and other BS.

Going with the original meaning, "underrated" would mean that the album is appreciated less than it deserves. I wouldn't say such a Beatles album exists. Beatles For Sale is their shittiest album, and it's deservedly seen as such. Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Pepper and parts of the subsequent albums are generally seen as the best, which is accurate.

Therefore, there aren't any underrated Beatles albums.

loving A man! you make sense. You are a very smart person. I can't believe you were the first person to think of this
