I think you have to have some borderline religious views with regards to the uniqueness of human life to believe that, with the baffling enormity of the universe, there are no other intelligent lifeforms anywhere else. the more interesting question, and the question people most often mean when they ask "do you believe in aliens" is, have alien lifeforms ever interacted with our tiny little mud ball? and my conclusion is: I dunno, probably not, but hey it would be pretty cool. hey if these weird disclosures the us government has been doing turned out to be an honest attempt to gradually introduce us to the reality of alien life on earth, that would be neat? but I'm not gonna hold out hope that aliens are gonna save us.
