I tried to picture how I'd feel about this year's Saints team if they did some weird Giants-like run to the SB and slayed the Chiefs/Bills, and I guess I just can't suspend my disbelief that far because I don't feel a thing

Technically it's: 1. 7-9 team for some reason gets to host a home playoff game against the 11-5 Saints (publicly and incorrectly remembered as the "Beastquake") 2. gently caress Vernon Davis 3. Marques Colston does the worst lateral ever (also, all defensive contact is now legal) 4. Literally just tackle Diggs 5. Yes, murder is legal in the French Quarter, but side judge Gary Cavaletto forgets the Superdome is not in the French Quarter 6. gently caress NFL OT rules 7. Brees collapses into dust, Jameis Winston gives dumb Saints fans hope for the future, dumbly

The Saints' uniform history is pretty terrible. The only past uniform I have a soft spot for were the early 90s ones with the big state of Louisiana patch on them. But all the stripe and color combinations were usually ok at best, ugly at worst.

I realize it makes me look like one of the insane Tebow-thumping Christian NFL demi-fans from a decade ago, but I firmly believe Taysom never got a fair shake as a starter, the staff was already in love with the idea of fixing Jameis, and that while he was never going to be an All-Star, Taysom was a perfectly decent QB to build the team around for the next few years.
