I use this for my alarms. Just the way it starts off straight with the booming horns is a good way to wake up really quick. And unlike the movie, nobody seems to immediately die a pointless and tragic death after it comes on either!

Glad this one got mentioned so early, the music really made the movie, and I don't think it would be a classic without it.

I'm glad some good Basil Poledouris stuff got posted ASAP because god drat that guy was a genius. Don't sleep on his RoboCop score either, there's a lot too it beyond the theme.

One soundtrack of his I love that I don't see mentioned too much is Under Siege 2: Dark Territory.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p47Vm2XdNWc

While obviously not as good a movie as Conan the Barbarian, it's absolutely another movie where Poledouris' score significantly elevates every second of it. Poledouris' general thing of orchestra w/ electronic* and western flick score elements, being done to a movie where the premise is a high tech train robbery? It's PERFECT.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2cwQtMBnKI

Anyway whole thing is worth a listen if you like Poledouris.

Another overlooked one imo is his score for Flesh+Blood. This one doesn't suffer from the cut down orchestra size like Conan the Destroyer, and in some ways feels more like an evolution of some things in that score than Destroyer does. I like it a lot. I remember it was a huge deal when Varese Sarabande put several of these Poledouris scores like this, Big Wednesday, etc. out on CD in like 2003, I still have a few of them, good stuff!

If you like the more wondrous sort of tracks from his Conan scores this is your new favorite soundtrack:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Or-c47eFb-Q

The Stallone Judge Dredd movie has some, uh, flaws, and I'd actually consider Silvestri's score among them. Not that the music itself is bad, but it feels like a mismatch for the character, like, too openly heroic? Initially Jerry Goldsmith was on board and his music is in the teaser trailer for the film and it has more of a like urgency and heavy hand to it that I think fits a lot better, would have been interesting to see what an entire score to it from him would have been like.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuSZOTQubEc

This is probably the most I've ever typed into the post box on this forum without talking about 70s/80s Italian horror movies. One that I don't see mentioned as much as the soundtrack for The Church. I loving love this movie, anyway the music is good stuff:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUve7w7feww

Whole thing's both score and licensed music is worth a listen imo.

Speaking of synth scores. Very shortly before/while he was doing the did the soundtrack for Blade Runner, Vangelis did the soundtrack for a movie called Missing which is also really good. And interesting because it has some very similar tracks that fit both in Blade Runner and in this movie that's set in 1973.

Very similar to "Deckard And Roy's Duel" as an example, you can hear a full version of that on the BR25 album:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBuDzkev9GU

Anyway it's a good soundtrack.

A lot of other great stuff that comes to mind was already posted, I love this thread

Regarding Halloween themes, I like the version of the theme for Halloween II a lot.

It's a small scene, and I don't think it's discussed much when talking about Hard Boiled or Woo's other work because of how low key it is, but the way the music is used here makes it one of my favorite scenes in any movie. Especially with how bittersweet the scene immediately preceding it is.

I'd consider this a top tier soundtrack in general. I love the action track with the very intense percussion that gets capped with the triumphant synthy horns.
