Hello Cspam, after way too long without being able to replace a few inactive or retired mods, I have finally appointed three new people to help mod this subforum. Please give a warm cspam welcome to three new mods: eXXon, Vox Nihili, and fosborb. Why these three people? All three were previously politics IKs and did a good job with their corners of the forums. From talking to them and looking at the way they post and the way they managed the threads they were asked to oversee, I got a good sense that they are people who understand the strange balance of this forum between joking and talking about politics, who will take the position seriously enough to do a good job and help out but not so seriously that they wreck the place. Of course there's no way to tell how someone will do until they're in the position, but I think they get what's expected of a cspam mod and will be good at it. Also we desperately needed new mods, these three are positive and active contributors to the forum, and they were foolish enough to say yes. Feel free to use this thread to tell me I'm a huge idiot or just absorb this new information and carry on with your life. Thank you!

Seems a little weird to have a mod dedicated to one thread, but who can fathom the ways of modship.

While talking to them about this, I realized it would be extremely helpful for them to be able to see reports and talk to the other mods as a group instead of everything going through my PMs. I don't expect fosborb to be just a single thread mod, but for the moment they're the primary person watching that thread and having access to the mod side information should be good for that.

I did that with the Ukraine thread in the early days before we got some IKs and things settled down.

He took a break around April, stayed in contact with me for a while and was planning to come back, but eventually stopped responding to messages so I rotated him out due to inactivity. I hope he's doing well and enjoying life off the forums, and maybe he will choose to come back someday.
