One thing all of you might want to do is subscribe to the What’s Hot (Classic) feed, which is What’s Hot but better. The difference between the two is the the Classic version just gives you every post that gets at least 12 likes, chronologically, without any algo bullshit. https://bsky.app/profile/did:plc:z72i7hdynmk6r22z27h6tvur/feed/hot-classic Another thing is making going into your moderation options and checking your content filtering settings. Non PG-13 content used to be hidden by default for a hot minute, not sure if that’s still the case.

Is there anything about BlueSky the product, or its policies, that will keep it “not Twitter” as it scales? I left Twitter and decided I’m not interested in trying any of the alternatives, at least not initially. But if it somehow avoids the enshittification process once it’s scaled I might give it a look in a year or two.

Bluesky seems to be where a lot of the fun people on Twitter have moved to. The newsier side of things hasn't really taken off, not yet anyway. The "Discover" tab is algorithmic bullshit (for me it's p much identical to my following feed), What's Hot Classic is where it's at. Caution: this feed may include homegrown/gay/furry porn, Bsky has a few weekly routines that involve posting those on certain week days.
