You're describing Peter Gabriel AND Phil Collins perfectly. Also both would almost qualify for this thread - Peter Gabriel having Sledgehammer and In Your Eyes respectively (Although I dunno if thats really good, or if Say Anything is just extremely good) and Phil Collins having In The Air Tonight and Sussudio respectively
