they were definitely gonna toss Smith-Shawver out there till someone said, hold on, who’s actually available to pitch more than an inning in the nightcap

In addition to Kyle Wright, Brigadier Gen. Jackson Stephens is back now, hopefully will have a better return than Dylan Lee has so far

Yo, Orioles? What's the haps?

Meanwhile, I am extremely nervous as preparations begin for tonight's Rays series to begin. This could be the last major hurdle the Twins face on the year and how they deal with it will say a lot about their chances.

I see bad Dean has shown up tonight, judging by the "67 pitches for 8 outs" metric.

We're gonna need you to step up, but the good news is you cannot possibly do any worse than Seattle did, blowing leads in three straight games.

Well the Rays whipped our asses in the prior series, but that one did also take place in the middle of the year when the Twins were absolutely stuck in the doldrums, as opposed to right now where they're showing a bit of pep and drive at the end of the year. That being said, our pitching has clearly been showing the strain. Twins are definitely the underdog in this series, but it IS at home as opposed to down in the bombed-out ruin of the Trop, and the baseball weather is perfect.
