It's clear the director had a lot of respect for the original Doom House. It's a loving tribute to the source material and fans of the original will find plenty of easter eggs.

Real talk i never actually watched the infamous lowtax video i have no idea what any of the jokes are or anything that happens in it. I just remember my college friends quoting "a doom house??" all the time along with quotes from angry video game nerd and nostalgia critic. So you can see why i would just avoid watching it.
