There should be like 3 feet of space between individual dock doors, and based on that trailer I'm guessing it's a long haul driver and they 1) tend to be newer drivers and 2) drive for hundreds or thousands of miles between actually backing up into a door, so they aren't super great at it. I work at a loading dock and the drivers who work locally and back in and out of the doors a half dozen times a day are really good at it and can just back straight in, but then I'll get a driver coming to Seattle from Kansas and I've seen them take over half an hour to get correctly lined up. Based on the photo his cybertruck is perfectly aligned for the dock door and there's likely another one three feet over and the large trailer is massively misaligned.

That means it’s constantly full of combustion products straight from the cylinder, which are very hot

I learned about that happening back when I used to go storm chasing pretty regularly, we were parked off the side of the road with the engine on, and we (fortunately) noticed the dry weeds starting to smolder down there. I'm kinda surprised there aren't more fires from stuff like that - part of why I mostly stopped chasing was the absurd number of people going out for any decent event, I would've expected it to happen more often with the crowds that turn the shoulders into parking lots on busy days.

In addition to what other posters said, it's one of the very first parts of the exhaust system downstream of the engine, so it's where the exiting exhaust is at its absolute hottest. Way hotter than the muffler and tailpipes at the very downstream end.
