Tangential but fun story: I hosted a big house party a year or two after highschool, at my folks' place. I was uh, indisposed upstairs, when I heard the sound of glass breaking and the collective "OOOOOOHHH" of dozens of people. A friend had apparently put his hand through the glass door, thinking it was open. Another buddy watched him grab his shoes immediately and said "hey man, you should stick around and at least explain that it was an accident." He turned around and buddy was running down the street, his shoes still in hand. I came downstairs and honestly kind of freaked out. Thought my Mom was going to kill me, yelled at everyone to leave. My best buddy in the whole world stood there and said "OK dude, it's all right, you're not wrong to be upset. But nobody got hurt, it's gonna be OK, and I just want you to realize something: Your shirt's on inside-out." We had a laugh and the party continued.

The added bit that I'm imagining for this - since we're currently in the holy month Ramadan, that's probably a big family Iftar meal - they've been fasting all day, just did the prayer at sundown and are about to have the first food/drink in like 12 hours... and then no. Big plate of biryani on the rug and floor.
