I think I have this figured out. Justin Whang just uploaded a video about bigpeeler and the ostrich about a half hour ago. The video was sponsored by SomethingAwful and he gives an endorsement of sorts. Justin is a fairly popular youtuber with 1.22 million subscribers. His funders on patreon maybe got to see the video first and he could have brought a lot of traffic here.
