So I saw Josh Sawyer retweet Islands of the Caliph yesterday, and I am really digging it as a retro first person dungeon crawler experience. Delightful time. I was a little worried about the survival elements at first, but reading the manual and taking the boat ride when I got my first status effect was all I needed to get a decent handle on safely progressing. Not quite as impressive as Grimrock 2 or my nostalgia tinted memories of Lands of Lore: Throne of Chaos, but the islamic fantasy flair is keeping things fresh. Good times

I'm looking forward to the Enshrouded demo. Valheim + Zelda is a pitch that seems hard for the devs to live up to, but at minimum I think I'll have quite a bit of fun with the grappling hook and glider they showed off.

Anyway Spiderman 2 is this month and I think it's the first game I've preordered in years because I loved the first game and Miles Morales so much.

I encountered a bug in bg3 that broke a quest, by being too good at the game (killing a tough enemy in a single turn, before she can escape and I guess trigger the correct flags) This is what you call goty? A game that punishes pro gamers?

Basically, each Total War Warhammer has its own factions (including DLC ones) with their own campaigns and are standalone through that, then 2 & 3 have bigger sandbox campaigns where you can use any faction available to you up to that game, but they don't go backwards in titles. So Total War Warhammer 2 lets you use the TWW1 factions on the Mortal Empires campaign if you own TWW1 (and any DLC for it counts as well), but you wouldn't be able to use TWW2 factions in 1, or TWW3 factions in 2. You only need to have entitlements to factions you want to play as, also - everyone's available as CPU opponents. So theres literally no reason to buy TWW or TWW2 because all that gives you is the ability to play as armies that arent as cool as Chaos Warriors?
