I think saying that mixup lead directly to the goal is a bit of a stretch, they’re taking each other out of the play and there isn’t a hole on the Leafs side until Liljegren chases the puck into the neutral zone and doesn’t win it.

Now, now. It didn't lead to the goal because the player involved is Bertuzzi, who is a Max Landis-esque loser and wouldn't have meaningfully done anything defensively there.

If it's regular season or after the whistle the refs probably take both players. But matching minors during play in the playoffs is pretty rare, and I just don't know what the Leafs are hoping for there.

I have four streaming services right now that covers all of my hockey watching. I have a spreadsheet where I track all of this, which of my required TV channels are covered by which streaming service, and costs associated. Thankfully with friends/family I share some accounts otherwise the cost would be higher to the point where I should just re-subscribe to traditional cable TV.

i guess the one upside is that streaming services are usually a little easier to cancel than doing whatever blood ritual you have to do to get away from Xfinity cable

As much as I hate to admit it their Thursday Night Football coverage is great. They also offer alternate live feeds with more on-the-fly stats and different camera angles.

That was my take last night too. The stats say Dallas played just fine but watching the game it felt like Vegas was in control the whole time to me. Even when Dallas had o-zone time they were usually desperately slapping the puck around trying to keep it in rather than setting up controlled plays. At all times Vegas either had control of the puck or was successfully disrupting Dallas's control of the puck.

We have the capability to make San Jose's first Cup Champion.

The Sharks could be that Champion.

The composition is different, but they remind me somewhat of the McLellan era Sharks. Lots of talent (Sharks were more top heavy, Stats are deeper), but a lack of overall team speed. The talent tipped the scale in the one-offs of the regular season, but over the course of a playoff series the lack of speed ceded the initiative to the opposition, let to the team chasing defensively / losing 50-50 battles, and suffocated offense through exhaustion.
