Fortunately they’ve had big time contributions from Luke, McLeod (who knew?) and Holtz who seems to be putting it together.

the team is still very talented, but basically all of their good fortune from last year did a complete 180. they'd be in plenty fine shape if they got semi-competent goaltending in the first half, but losing hamilton for the season was a major blow in retrospect as you can only rely on superrookies for so long before they hit the wall and there's no longer a steady presence back there. their power play has been non-functional for two months. much of that is because jack hughes is one-hundred extremely not healthy and his shoulder is probably going to be a big time problem going forward (gently caress jeremy lauzon for all eternity). timo meier has also been obviously banged up and seems to frequently vary between plodding and very good (much more of the former). lindy is probably gone gone, which im not too broken up about really. their season was on the line this weekend and they looked like they just wanted to go home. corn on the cop fucked around with this message at 22:37 on Feb 25, 2024 |
