Twin Pines vs. Lone Pine Marty:

The Twin Pines Marty is the one we follow the entire film. The one who lived a life with a bullied and failed dad, unhappy family, Biff is an rear end in a top hat adult, etc.

At the end of the movie when Marty arrives back in 1985, a 1985 where his father is a success, Doc is alive, his family is happy, Biff is a simpering coward, we watch as he watches 'himself' (Lone Pine Marty) go back in time from Lone Pine Mall.

This Lone Pine Marty is going to 1955. A Marty that has had the life experiences of the Lone Pine Timeline, right? So, isn't there the real chance he's going to gently caress up the future because he's never going to hear the story about how his grandpa almost killed his dad and how his mom felt sorry for him? It'll be how his dad was this awesome two-fisted hero who fought bullies and rapists and became student class president? The man whose good friend Calvin was in the first interracial rock and roll band that ever played in Hill Valley?

He's going to get back to 1985 to find a dead Doc, a lovely home, a wrecked car, and no idea what he did to change the timeline.
