"I'm the head vampire" almost works but you can tell all their energy went into the first segment. I get the impression they realized they wrote themselves into a conceptual corner because Mr. Burns is already very classically vampiric but one of his core jokes is that his actual physicality is endearingly pathetic. Making him an actual vampire means the only place you can really go with that is to have him be actually scary and they could never undo that perception once they put it out there. VI should have started with the Nightmare parody and used the 50 ft eyesores as the middle segment, and I'm going to catch poo poo for this but I never felt Homer^3 was that good. It's memorable and has some great moments, but if we're being truly honest the CGI gimmick is what's carrying it. It holds up better than I thought it would, and I do appreciate that the Simpsons writers took their first (and still only?) shot to shoot live-action footage and used it to film outside a porn shop, but it feels like it's missing an ingredient. Can't put my finger on it.
