I clicked one of those recently, don’t bug me for x time, and it will bug me again when the time is up. I also get ‘suspicious activity’ emails every single time I log in to do my job, cool stuff

i went to pay my internet bill and half the site doesn't work besides payments because it's all ad offer generators

they, of course, forgot my user name so i had to ask 1password to do both name and pass

my healthcare provider is the loving worst at this. they will log you out if one of the tabs you have to their site has been idle for too long, even if you are actively using other tabs.

so you’re using the site. suddenly you click on something and are thrown to the login screen.

no problem, you think, I’ll just log in again. my password is saved.

so you log in and are dumped back to the default page when you log in. lost your place.

if you switch tabs and click anything, you’re dumped back to the login screen immediately. it has no idea you opened a new session.

if you try to refresh the tab, dumped to the login screen.

once you’re at the login screen you can hit back on your browser and then refresh and you’re good and haven’t lost your place.

repeat for every tab.
