I'm sure NFL coaches have self confidence that towers to the moon, but Rivera had to see the writing on the wall when the team was sold. They aren't spending $6 billion to compete for 3rd in the division and be the most boring rear end team in the league every year. Washington was always getting torn down to the studs once ownership had time to settle in.
