Against a team with more NFL talent than the early 2000s Hurricanes he was by far the best player on the field. Also scrambled very well.

But some carnival barker cooked up a cognition test that showed his pupils didn't react quickly enough or whatever.

It owns how draftniks were concerned about how he would handle operating outside of structure. Big narrative leading up to the CF playoffs. Then, when he faced the terrifying Georgia defense, Stroud immediately went super saiyan and had multiple awesome out of structure plays.

The play where he sheds multiple defenders and lays a pass perfectly in the end zone for a TD… *chefs kiss*

Listen my eyeballs are telling me Stroud is a fantastic pocket passer with great accuracy, vision and command. But my eyes also tell me he has hair twists so it's for this reason when you type in CJ Stroud into a google search bar it autocompletes with "What was CJ Stroud's GPA"

To be clear I don't think the book is written on Young but I do think we can safely say Stroud in bonaFYE

With every week the "jump" or whatever he'd need to become worth what was given up for him or serviceable or someone that can actually improve the team gets larger. And his physical limitations are looking less and less like something A.) he can overcome and B.) he can survive. And as his play gets worse and worse, it feels like the plays you want to see to have something to be optimistic about need to be more amazing.

Like yeah, he threw a good pass on the corner route last night to that guy I didn't even know was on the team, but that doesn't overcome how god awful he looked pretty much the rest of the time.

I really don't think this is that much difference than Clausen, tbh. "pro ready" because Weiss was his head coach, accurate, would step right in and run a WCO that the Panthers were transitioning to, would have been a first rounder if the Cardinals had accepted the Panthers offer, and was considered too small to be successful in the NFL. He was also half a foot taller than Bryce.

And when Pickles went out there it was very clear after a few weeks that he didn't belong in the NFL. That's where I am with Bryce.

The funny thing about Stroud to me as a Michigan fan is that he was the first Ohio State QB to drop multiple games to Michigan since Bill Clinton was president. And this is the guy who's bucking the trend of Ohio State QBs going pro? Honestly, good on him.

It is my headcannon that the Michigan sign stealing scandal and subsequent wins over OSU was enough to drop Stroud from being a lock as QB1 in the draft, so thanks for that Michigan.

Chiefs DE. No idea why he’s doubled that much unless he’s just sitting on that side of the line to eat two blockers so blitzers can come from the other side.

Kinda effective Chiefs DE but not real special. Your guess is as good as mine on the doubling. Maybe for how these things are charted he's really good at the stunts they like to run and ends up getting counted as doubled when the tackle doesn't realize what is happening? Or the Chiefs bring a lot of outside blitzes and the guard and center have nothing better to try to help out with than making sure he isn't the problem?

AR's issue is can he stay healthy. So he's still hosed long-term as long as he's on the Colts or like, half the rest of the league if he goes elsewhere, but it's at least less to do with how he himself plays and more to do with keeping him from getting hit while he tries

Oh for sure, but with him in the short term as the QB so far instead of the very washed Tannehill he can at least free up the box for King Henry/Spears

Nuk had also looked revitalized with him at QB
