He cut Frevola off with a nice body kick when Frevola was circling off the cage earlier in the round. Frevola was awkwardly defending against that during the finish, and Benoit Saint-Denis slipped the high kick right over. I love when fighters pressure with their hands and then cut off the movement that forces with kicks.

Hahaha hell yes. It sure seemed like the UFC booked this to push Dern, love to see their plans derailed by a great performance. I'm not sure if it was the whole coaching/prep thing the commentary was talking about or Dern just being afraid after feeling Andrade's power. Very different thing to overwhelm Angela Hill and Jessica Andrade on the feet.

IDK guy was dropped, got in on the legs, was dropped from that position onto his back, and ref moved in immediately. Seems fine and like it would stop unnecessary additional damage the vast majority of the time, Jiri is just a freak who got up fine after it so it's unsatisfying.
