You didn't note it but the flagpole that you'd missed the first time round still had a bowser flag on it instead of... I assume the flower kingdom flag? Either way that's a marker to look out for that you didn't get the seed there.

The yellow flower powers do appear to be awkward double-edged sword ones. The sort of powers you'd set to do challenge runs but could maybe enable ridiculous speedrun tech if you can master 'em. Solar Roller looked awesome fun.
