Last november I started working out for the first time in years, so I'd like to continue doing that. Don't really have a goal in mind, but feeling a little more fit makes a world of difference.
Would love to learn how to paint miniatures too, but they are crazy expansive so I keep putting it off. 2024 is also the year I'm gonna get married, so that's quite a big thing to look forward to.

Also: Blender. I open the software, get a panic attack, quit and uninstall. One day...

comparing against my op:

- ive spent the last few weeks working on the dungeon tiles for my frostgrave table. i'm about 1/4 of the way through, and motivation is high. hoping to see a playable table top in the next couple months
- D&D has been put on hiatus atm :(
- same with mausritter, we set it up but we havent got around to playing it
- been hella outside climbing!!! so this goal is off to a great start. its helped the weather has been so mild here
- gym climbing progress has been non-existent tho. i'm keeping at it
- my lifting goal of 1/2/3/4 plates might be a touch out of reach after i did the math from where im at now, but maybe some of them achievable or all of them a short ways into 2025
- 0 work done on the rx7. had to drive it for a couple weeks in fact while my truck was being worked on lol
- ive gained about 6 lb so far

Yeah!
Am very much in love.
Not had more sex yet
Lifting one every week.
Improving my running and smashing my PBs. No podium yet, aiming for the first one in five weeks.
Still employed. Permanent position in a month.
Still too much screen time
Found some of the others during a trip to Gran Canaria
Began reading more. It's great!
I'm happy most of the time. Some things still suck rear end and make me not happy though.
Reduced self depreciation. Feels better.
Alcohol is way down. Perhaps a glass of wine a week rather than two bottles or equivalent.
Down 15+ lb so far.
A few relapses, but basically stopped using porn.
Haven't found a good de-escalation mechanism yet.
Went to Gran Canaria for a week of trail running.
Still procrastinating.
Saving almost double what I thought I could afford.
Less edgy and more sincere. It is scary as gently caress but working out great.
Not giving enough compliments
Still too much negative thinking
Not staying away from social media

Potrzebie posted:

Be in love most of the time. Preferably reciprocal but if not that's ok too.
Have more sex. Feels good, you know.
Lift a weight on the reg. Did my first deadlift this week. More of that.
Improve my running. More PBs, more podiums.
Stay employed. This year sucked balls. I'm not rich or creative enough to be outside the workforce.
Reduce screen time. I spend way too much time looking at a cell phone. It's cancer.
Find the others.
Read more books. Both for me and the kids.
Be happy.
Be less self depreciating. It's not fun for anyone nor healthy for me.
Get my drinking habits sorted out or quit drinking. I suck at drinking so I should probably stop. It's been almost 30 years of trying so I don't think I have the knack for it.
Lose ten pounds, permanently.
Stop with the porn. It's just a dumb habit, I kicked nicotine, I can kick this.
Find strategies to de-escalate when I'm stressing out or getting riled up.
Go on a vacation. Perhaps a train adventure in Europe?
Procrastinate less. This one is hard :effort:
Put away a chunk of money every month for short and long term savings.
Be less edgy. It's not fun for anyone.
Be more sincere and straightforward. Scary, but I'm working on it.
Give more compliments. It's free and makes everyone involved feel good. Why not?
Reduce the amount of negative thinking and negativity. Does X affect me/can I do anything about X? If not, waste less time thinking about it.
Stay away from social media.

I have two. I really want to hit an aerial 360 on my skates. I can get the height but just need to adorn myself in head to toe pads and fail at it like 50 times. The other is hitting a 180 while making a ramp to ramp transfer. I can do it riding in the half or quarter pipe but just haven't had the courage to try it while also negotiating uneven surfaces.

I've started reading more fiction.

Getting more work related certifications.

All of these could be done at any time but the start of the year usually has some discounts.

Renewed the membership, not actually going to the gym. If money really weighed something I'd be very good at throwing it down the drain. Yesterday I went there because they emailed me to say they were giving away free coffee at the cafe next door, which was a good opportunity for the next goal...

Still reading more, spending about 1 to 1.5 hours each morning. Gotten through about 4.8k pages across 5 authors.

Currently doing a cyber security qualification while working, best of all it is mostly subsidised! Yay for tax payer education.
