I once moved into this new apartment and my room was the former workspace of a jeweler, and for like 6-8 weeks I was possessed by the spirit of this jeweler, as I madly created art project after art project. The last one was this giant mobile, it was amazing and beautiful. Shiny and spinning on multiple axis.

His cuts are so loving clean, what the gently caress. I was cutting some stuff out yesterday and even with an x-acto nothing came out so clean and smooth. I'm so buttmad about this.

Since this is the art thread, my second big/huge/gigantic project after that Nancy Regan collage was this giant mobile, with multiple spinning axis. Really big, like 10 feet tall and 15 feet wide, it took all this space to make and much machinations. I used so much Mylar and cd's and these reflective mouse pads from this ancient computer type (financial computer)

As I said, I was possessed by the angry spirit of the jeweler who's workspace was now my bedroom.

I did not take any photos of it, and it only lived a few weeks, as it was hung in the dining room of the house I lived in with 6 other dudes, and we had a party and it got promptly wrecked.
