I’m always on call. I can easily not be but I need/enjoy money. Luckily I can always point to the courts for my pushback - not much I can do at 9:45 pm but hey, I’m here. Ironically i quit the big jobs as corporate counsel because that works trash, and being able to fire clients is amazing.
