I got bulk billed for a GP visit today. I was completely shocked. The Greens should be yelling from the rooftops that they'll bring Bulk Billing back. But it's just being killed and no one seems to care anymore. I booked in for a covid vac and it's going to take 3 weeks before I can get booked in for it.

I just checked the online vaxx clinic finder and found multiple locations within walking distance of my house with a whole lot of open slots available tomorrow, you should be able to find something better unless you live in the middle of the Nullarbor or something

To be fair the only other place on the list within 7km that lists an available date as...a weeks waiting list.Which is better than 3 weeks the chain pharmacy quoted for me. Word on the street is that the ex-labor MP Albo has put in charge of investigating ColesWorth...previously worked as a consultant to Coles. The report will be a complete waste of time and say there is a range of factors involved and it's very complicated and they can't find any evidence of deliberate price gouging. The fix is in. I recall in previous threads a link to a strategic paper which noted one reason for the US alliance being protecting our trade from non-state actors (the other being protecting our trade with China from… China). anyway it will be interesting to see how this works in practice my bet is that it won’t be as effective as just not supporting israel committing crimes against humanity
