Insane card for a US show. Eddie vs. Gabe II and Mox vs. Shingo are must-watch for me, and Okada vs. Ospreay should be okay too.

Wonder if they'll add Giulia vs. Trish Adora based on recent Stardom events? I don't see Trish taking the STRONG title off of her but we may be running out of time for alternatives.

It's on the card. Card per the site link in the tweet:

Matt Vandagriff vs Goldy
Viva Van vs Stephanie Vaquer
Jacob Fatu, Fred Rosser and Shota Umino vs Team Filthy (Filthy Tom Lawlor, Jorel Nelson and Royce Isaacs)
Mascara Dorada and Volador Jr vs Rocky Romero and Soberano Jr
TJP vs David Finlay
GoD (Hikuleo and El Phantasmo) defend the Strong tag titles against Bullet Club War Dogs (Alex Coughlin and Clark Connors)
Giulia defends the Strong women's title against Trish Adora
Matt Riddle and a mystery partner vs TMDK (Zack Sabre Jr and Bad Dude Tito)
Eddie Kingston defends the Continental Crown against Gabe Kidd
Shingo Takagi vs Jon Moxley in a no DQ match
Kazuchika Okada vs Will Ospreay

I thought this was possible when his deal being up soon went public, especially with Ospreay going, Tana getting a new role, and Naito admitting he’s near the end

End of an era

It’s pretty ironic that I lose my @impactwrestling World Title to @moosenation69 the day before @rainmakerxokada returns to TNA. Kazuchika and I have known each other since the first photo here was taken in 2006.

Four years after that, he came to TNA on excursion for exactly 22 months. I remember the first time we shared a hotel room - we stayed up way too late playing GTA and talking about Final Fantasy. He got his own apartment and every week I would stay with him. We were two young wrestlers who wanted to make their marks on the industry but felt stuck; so we studied, trained, and tried to survive, emotionally, mentally.

When this happens? It’s so hard to continue to love wrestling. It’s like a date that saw you enamored with their charm and beauty whereas they see you as someone who’s really nice. We had so many matches, meals, laughs, and video game sessions together.

He stayed with my family during Thanksgiving and when we said goodbye at the airport, before he went back to Japan, we both teared up because we didn’t know if we’d ever really see each other again. As soon as he got home, he sent me the original Rainmaker costume designs and we talked about it as if it were a Japanese Razor Ramon. I suggested the money drop from the ceiling if he gets the chance, and he told me about the name coming from a film Gedo San liked.

Record scratch here, years later, he’s the greatest wrestler of all time (hate to say I told you so) and I have taken the STRANGEST but most PUNK ROCK route to becoming a champion and Chris Sabin is, was, always will be the underrated GOAT: three guys that, 14 years ago, sat backstage watching monitors with @nickjackson, @mattjackson13 and @sensationalamazingred just wanting to wrestle our styles, our ways, finally getting to do so in the main event of a TNA ring while fans chanted one of my best friend’s name.

So yeah, I lost. But life is a journey, and I know in the past two years that I have helped rebuild this place and that I have given it my heart and I loving hope it’s better than it was before I came back. Everything I had. So much so that Kazuchika actually came back to see me in that ring. I’m not crying, you’re crying.

Having pondered this for hours now I'm very torn between my main reaction being "between all the stuff going on with New Japan and all the stuff going on with All Japan it's looking a lot like we're in for early-2000s dark ages dire straits in the scene again, boys" and ":rubby: Tanahashi's first three acts as president were Give Self Belt, Hire Riddle, and Watch Okada Leave"

So. Both are extremely bad, but one's at least funny

If Gedo legitimately pushes Finlay over those two... I think I'll actually cry

Dave brought up a good point on Observer Radio that no matter what they do going forward will carry a big risk

Tana's obviously near the end
Naito's obviously near the end
Suzuki's obviously near the end
Finlay's not ready
SANADA needs a break
Ospreay and Okada are gone at the same time just like Styles and Nakamura were gone at the same time
If you push Tsuji, Shota, or Yuya to the Okada/Ospreay/Styles/Nakamura level they’re obviously going to be wanted by US companies/WWE/etc just like that level was. It’s no longer a one-off or fluke that what happened with Styles/Nakamura happened, it’s the standard going forward. You're building someone up so your audience can notice them, but your audience won't be the only one/your audience has crossover with the people who are eager to poach because they have trouble making their own stars. Doing the work for them

Backstage Danielson admitted he's not the greatest technical wrestler in the world anymore, it's ZSJ

Also said if anywhere else is willing to have it, they've both won in their own company and neither has been by tapout, he's fine with a 2-out-of-3-falls with a submission fall mandatory in a neutral (not AEW or New Japan) company to settle the score for good :getin:

He and Taka haven't been on a card since the 4th of the month/the last Road to Sakura Genesis show, per Cagematch, but Taichi is booked for the next show/the first Road to Wrestling Dontaku show in 5 days (tagging with Yuya Uemura against TJP and Great O Khan). Taka's booked the next day (tagging with DOUKI against SHO and Yujiro). Seems like they were just getting a rest period
