I guess I'm confused. It sounds like the lawyers are arguing that any President is immune from any crime, no matter how heinous, unless they've been impeached and convicted beforehand. Wouldn't that make the crime for which they are impeached therefore unimpeachable because they are immune? Should we just impeach every President as soon as they are sworn in in order to get their criming out of the way?

It seems so paradoxically ridiculous, but this is also American law. Is there a strong legal basis for making that argument?

I mean, the President does literally have people assassinated regularly, we even have a special knife missile for it:

So it may be a bit more of a legal grey area than we want to admit to ourselves. This is and was always the trouble with Trump "You can't" is and was always viewed as a challenge to him, no matter the moral depravity of the question.

Trump, like many sociopathic idiots in legal trouble believes that he can get an unfavorable outcome thrown out by showing that the judge was biased against him as the result of his outrageous behavior that the judge has admonished. This is not a thing but many people have tried and will continue to try it.

I will also add, I'm guessing there is conservatively thousands of dollars of items that I have gotten home and realized I was charged for but the check/bagger failed to load them into my cart or I later discovered the packaging was damaged and they were stale or something.

Also, fun story, one time I bought a USB Wi-Fi adaptor at Walmart and some ground beef, I had plans for dinner so I decided just to go back for the ground beef. I think the beef was like $13 and the USB adaptor was like $40. I call them and they are just like, we found it, go to customer service and they will give it back to you. "So I go back and they tell me to go over to a corner to wait. I'm there for like 15 minutes and about to just walk out and all of a sudden I am confronted by the store manager and multiple security people and the store manager is like "Sir, we take theft very seriously. We have video of you putting it in your cart, I need you to sign this form acknowledging that you are no longer welcome in Walmart and that if you enter the store we will prosecute you for trespassing. If you don't sign the form we will be calling the police."

I'm like, WTF? You can't be serious, I assure you I did not put it in my cart, I am 100% sure, I bought like 7 items, I swear to god, unless I had a stroke or a mental episode, I did not put this into my cart. And they told me on the phone that they found it!"

"Sir, I will repeat what I said, we have video of you putting it in your cart, you are no longer welcome in Walmart, I need you to sign this form or we will call the police"

"This is insane! Show me the video, why would I go to this much effort to steal like $13 dollars of ground beef, I just spent like $90!"

:raise: "Beef?" *conference*

"Please wait here."

"Sir, I am so sorry, we reviewed the tape again and you did in fact not get your beef, the customer service woman accidentally highlighted USB WiFi that was right below the beef, please accept our apology and this $50 gift card"

Barack Obama drone striking a bunch of weddings was a pathetic crime and awful but the intention was dictated by bad intelligence and dumb political ideology pressures, not his re-election campaign and future speaker fees.

It's much simpler than that, regardless of how gross it is, we have decided that extra-judicial killings are necessary in pursuing the national security interests of the US and the President as commander and chief of the military absolutely has the authority to order them, so he is acting within the scope of his duties.

There is no duty or role for the president to be involved in a state election, the operation of presidential elections is specifically defined as a state controlled operation. Trump keeps banging against this wall, it's simply not within the scope of his job.

Fox News confirmed to the AP that they pulled Mike Pillow's ads over unpaid bills:

AP posted:

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — MyPillow chief executive and prominent election denier Mike Lindell said Friday that Fox News has stopped running his company’s commercials, disputing the network’s assertion that it is simply because he hasn’t paid his bills.

Lindell went public by tweeting that Fox, which had been one of MyPillow’s biggest advertising outlets, had canceled him. He said in his tweet that he didn’t know why but that he suspected that the network was trying to silence him. Fox denied that.

Losing Fox was just the latest in a series of financial and legal setbacks for Minnesota-based MyPillow and Lindell, who continues to propagate former President Donald Trump’s lies that the 2020 election was stolen from him, in part by rigged voting machine systems. Several big-box retailers, including Walmart, have discontinued his products, and lawyers who were defending him against defamation lawsuits by voting machine companies quit.

“As soon as their account is paid, we would be happy to accept their advertising,” Fox spokeswoman Irena Briganti said.

In an interview with The Associated Press, Lindell acknowledged that MyPillow owes money to Fox. He put the figure at $7.8 million, but he insisted that the sum is within his credit line with the network. He said MyPillow has long spent an average of $1 million a week to run its ads on Fox. And he said the network had long allowed him 12 weeks of credit until it recently cut that to eight weeks.

Store brand, 380 calories, you pop it in the microwave for a minute and a half, it's not great for you, too much sodium and fat, but it's fine-ish for a satisfying breakfast in a hurry. No one would confuse it for a "luxury" food item or like, items even middle class families with children would just regularly keep in their house like fruit.

They cost $1.45 a piece, they would be over-budget. What do they expect these kids to eat? No one is trying to scam a $1.29 a day to eat, it's not even worth the effort unless you would go hungry otherwise.

My favorite thing about Christians complaining about porn is every explanation of it is that exploits women, not one single moment is spent considering that men are getting paid to have sex with women, much less that some straight dude is taking a dick up their rear end today because they need money for meth.

Seriously, have you ever heard a single Christian spend 1 second arguing that men are being exploited by the porn industry? Apparently only men have personal agency when it comes to sex work.
