I don't particularly like the DKC series, I think they're ugly games to look at, yet I really enjoy watching the speedruns. Some wild movement mechanics and a lot of very crazy tricks based around abusing the tech wizardry (and/or sloppy coding) that Rare used to get their big, ambitious games to work on the SNES to begin with.

It's been a hot minute since I've caught GDQ. Honestly very few of the titles on the schedule really grab me, but some of my favorite runs are games I've never played. Nice to see everyone back in one place again.

This runner/couch area for this run is several feet forward of another set, and further from the audience. Are they making setup faster by having different consoles in different physical locations, all set and ready to go, or are they prepping one run while another is in process, or something else?
